I remember when Barack Hussein Obama was nominated as the democrat candidate .... I just shook my head in disbelief .... on name alone. And we all remember how that turned out. I will have a very hard time [if I even can] warming up to Mr Ramaswamy.
I'm really liking this guy, and I encourage all of you to at least take the time to listen to him. He answers questions without a pause to frame his answer, which indicates a sharp intelligence and suggests that he is saying what he believes rather than what might give him a political advantage. I still think that Trump deserves the second term he was cheated out of in 2020, but I would eagerly vote for him.
First time I have heard of him. I think that his being unknown and his name would prevent him from winning a presidential election. Fast talking, is not always a plus.
Two names. Joe Biden Kamala Harris If they can get “elected” into the Oval Office, a space alien from Mars could get the nod.
Refreshing to hear the things he says out loud. He was more prepared for this interview than I have seen in a few I have watched in the past. I think he has been prepared by someone to address Trump in a debate. I don't think Trump intends to attend the debate (last I heard), but if he does, Ramaswamy will be as prepared as anyone to talk with him on a public stage. He, like Trump, doesn't really NEED donors for his campaign, so he will not be beholden to anyone. That, I think, is one of the things the Establishment hates about Trump--they can't control him by threatening to withhold money fromm his campaign.
That’s what’s nice bout that site, no polling. It instead aggregates bets from betting sites and has had a much better record than polls. I think one big reason is that people are putting up money to place bets so there’s no clowning around as might be occurring with people responding to polls. Also, people willing to bet money are more likely to have studied their material than some random person contacted out of the blue. I gave up on polls after the Hillary fiasco and only look at this site. I might check in with the L.A. Times as we get closer, provided they use that same model they were experimenting with for that election. They got it pretty much right.
The last I looked, he was second in the running for the Republican Primary, quite a bit behind Trump, of course, but ahead of DeSantis. No, fast-talking isn't necessarily a plus, but it is when you're saying the right things. It's far better than having to think about whatever the most politically expedient answer might be. Then again, it would be nice if our current president were capable of thinking about what he says.
He’s highly reminiscent of Ted Cruz in that he doesn’t seem to need a lot of notes to remind him of the facts. Cruz is known for his memory and his ability to access facts quickly and it would seem that Ramaswamy either has the same talent or has an extreme love for doing the necessary research it takes to find the facts and retain his findings.
One of the differences is that Ramaswamy was actually born in the U.S. which Cruz was not. To my mind, that would disqualify Cruz from the Presidency.
On that note, Obama comes to mind. Then again, Obama was and is of the party that doesn’t have to conform to any particular Constitutional statute.
I was going to mention that, but didn't. I recall the Dems questioning John McCain's eligibility since he was born on a U.S. military base in Panama, but no one was allowed to question a Democrat born in Kenya. I believe Obama even now admits he was born in Kenya.
An interesting twist to the Obama birth certificate scenario is making the rounds now on Twitter, and probably other places online. With the fires that just happened in Hawaii, information has come out that Hawaii was never properly signed with the agreement to make it one of the states in the United States, and that it is still actually a sovereign territory. If that should turn out to be true, then even the claimed Hawaiian birth certificate for Obama would not be valid.
