Yeah, I saw that vid yesterday and thought that he was taking a page out of Trump’s book. Many are the times when Trump would call out CNN and openly say they were a trash outfit. But yes, Ramaswamy did a great job and openly said that he pretty much knew how the media was going to spin his answer and chastised the journalist heavily for asking a loaded question. I don’t think Vivek will fall into any kind of “yes or no” trap very easily because he can think on his feet and what’s more, there’s an air of honesty attached to his replies and statements.
Wow, that was worth the listen, thanks @John Brunner. The media is so corrupted, and talk about "hate speech" isn't that exactly what media is doing?? Or they're like the definition of a troll = In short: Trolling is when someone deliberately tries to upset others online (or off in the medias junk). Trolling can lead to a pile on, when others join in the attack (google search)
Come to find out, the WP did exactly what Ramy said they would do. One would think that his prognostication would provoke the rag to print something just to prove him wrong but nope, almost word for word.
so predictable, but they are at least showing their true colors. It's the ones you think are on the right side to really watch out for
Just saw this today and it impressed me but not sure by showing his hand that new laws might not be passed before the next election.
I get tired of hearing "Drain the Swamp." No one can displace the duly elected representatives of The People. As best it can, SCOTUS needs to get the Fed back to its Enumerated Powers. Then the Swamp will drain itself.
I really like what he says, it's hard to know what he "will" do if he gets in. What if the Supreme Court is "bought" by the Left ? We probably have to "drain" the Supreme Court as well first.
Congress is the only entity that can impeach a Supreme Court Justice and since Congress won’t even police themselves……
Vivek seems to be pretty understanding of the Law, and he's no dummy at least I don't think so. I refuse to believe there's no way to finish these people who only "think" they are above the law. I'm just tired of the negativity, and prefer to think there is a way to overcome.
If Congress took back the powers they have illegally delegated to the Executive, it would go a long way, but it is up to the voters to do that. As we saw, it is pretty easy to rig a Presidential election, and a Senate election can be done as well, but it is very difficult if not impossible to rig a House election. It can be done for an individual seat or two, but not for the majority of 435 elections every two years.
I sort of understood him to say he would 'fire' bloated agencies like the department of education. I know teachers who hate that agency and thing it is worthless at best and a drain at worst. There are so many committees that never find the answer or solution because then they would be out of a job. He could make an executive order that all laws passed pertained to every citizen--that would include the legislators. They would leave on their own accord, then.
Congress can override EOs if they wish, and one that made them live under the laws they pass would be one they would override. for sure. RIFs (Reductions in Force) are not unheard of in the Federal government and were common before we started printing money willy-nilly.
I would have like to be told about all those in charge of the Roman Empire, but through the internet and all the social media we have today. I'd love to make a comparison of those in power today, to those that helped the fall of the Roman Empire, and who were saved, or survived and took over.
YouTube and TikTok are the coliseums of the modern day. That is why the government allows them to keep going. The Romans fed the masses and we are providing sustenance to the idle as well. We'll see how that all works out.
