A lot can be done especially if and when we can impose term limits on Congress. Obviously Congress will not do that because there’s too much money to be made whilst in office.
A Constitutional Convention of States can and would impose those limits, or at least I think it would but there are other problems to be had if a Convention were to be formed.

If, a big if, the people of the United States would simply wake up and vote those jokers out of office instead of voting strictly along party lines, maybe we’d see some daylight through it all.

Right now, the best we can hope for is a President who will hire the right people in the Dept. of Justice and start prosecuting those who have literally been above the law for so long.
    Is Ramaswamy the guy? Dunno.

A Convention of States has been discussed here a while ago I think. It is a very dangerous thing. Advocates believe they could control such a convention and limit it to a small range of topics. I doubt that is the case and should a Convention be called, I believe the first change that would be made would be changes to, or the elimination of, the First and Second amendments. Term limits were discussed originally and discarded because, at the time, serving in Congress was a burden and actually cast the office holder money. That is now not the case. The Founders also believed the American people would not tolerate bad people in office. That also has proven not to be the case. Congress was expected to live under the laws they pass, but that, too, is no longer the case. I am sure that Medicare and Social Security would be completely different if Congress were living under those systems.

True. But now with social media, if it is used well, legislators could be exposed for doing that and other things in plain language. (not 3000 page gobbldygook) Vivek or our new president could rat on our legislators so we would have the actual will to get them out.

I think that this is actually happening, @Mary Stetler , at least on Twitter, but maybe even on Facebook, liberal though it is. On Twitter, people are posting information about corrupt politicians (and celebrities), and more and more people are actually finding out what the truth is and having their eyes opened.

Once we get enough people not supporting the crooked politicians , (mostly unknowingly, because they never hear the truth; but some because their mind is just so closed that they will not change it, no matter what information they are given) then everything can begin to change for the better.

I know I am probably the only one here that thinks this; but I do believe that there is still a good chance that Biden will be exposed as a fraudulent president because the 2020 election was rigged, and Trump will assume his rightful place as the legitimate president.

If that happens, he will finish out the rest of Biden’s term, and we would have a whole new election with Trump not being a candidate, and we might end up with someone who actually cares about America, like Trump does.

I kind of think that someone like Ramaswamy appears to be, might be who the people choose to elect. We have never heard either Vivek or Trump say a bad word about the other, so I think there is more going on behind the scenes with this.

It is terrible what happens (almost every day now), but essentially this is what is causing more and more people to open their eyes and look for someone besides Biden as their president.
The emperor is parading around and people are seeing that he has no clothes, no matter what they are being told.
(Whoever thought we would actually be living out this very fairytale ?)

Yes, and I still am appalled at how our doors are now open to anyone at all, and how many of them will be voting this year that don't have American citizenship. There I go, falling into the negative trap :(

    Not to sweat it Denise.
If I had my way, there would be an immigrations agent, U.S. Marshal or border patrol agent at every polling station in the U.S.
No voter I.D.? Not a citizen? Adios bye-bye.

"Biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy suspended his bid for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination on Monday and endorsed former President Donald Trump after finishing a disappointing fourth in Iowa’s leadoff caucuses.

Ramaswamy said he made the decision after determining there was no path forward for him in the race, "absent things that we don’t want to see happen in this country.”

I was sorry to see that he finished behind Haley. He put a lot of effort into Iowa and was not rewarded.

I believe that Ramaswamy has always known that as long as Trump was in the presidential race, he would not get enough support to win, and this was a great way for him to get Trump’s message of saving America out to young college people who might not have listened to Trump. There is no dividing the America First people into two groups.
This might have been part of his plan all the time, and some people are saying that Trump was involved in Vivek’s campaign because he saw the potential he had, by re-speaking all of Trump’s plans for America’s recovery.

We always knew that the RINO’ s would vote for someone like Haley, and apparently, Iowa Democrats were told to register as Republican and vote for her, which is why she places as high as she did.
She has Obama’s campaign manager even, which in itself says a lot about who is promoting Haley’s campaign.

America First Republicans and Independants are all coming out in praise of Ramaswamy adding his support to Trump, and now they will both be working on the same campaign trail, and Vivek will be gathering lots of support for when he runs next time. I imagine that Trump will have a good place for him, or possibly even choose Ramaswamy as his VP ?

This is what I am hoping for Vivek (to be VP), and hope I am right about him, he seems very honest to me, and smart What I hope is calling bs on the pressure of hiring a woman just because of her gender, I hope the VP is picked strictly on ability to do the job. After what's'er'name anyone would shine, but Vivek would actually do the job and I doubt we'd be worrying if anything happened to Trump and the VP had to fill the bill.

I do think that Trump will choose a woman for his VP because of the abortion issue. I hope it’s not Nikki Haley.

Oh so do I, and I hope he doesn't even pick a woman at all. It's my belief that jobs need to be filled by the most qualified, not based on gender or skin-color.

As far as abortion, I'd say there are plenty of men that are against it as well, enough?? I don't think so, but I can hope.
