    I wouldn't mind having a dog but my cats would hate it, and dogs are too demanding. I can leave my cats alone as long as I know they have food, water, and a clean litter box, and they are just fine. Cutie will be mad at me when I return, but that's about it.

    @Ken Anderson , yes, but can your cats defend you from the bad guys? My little Miki runs the bad guys off.:D She lets me know they are there before they ever get near the door.

    I agree that cats are easier. And I've always had more cats than dogs but my best buddy is my cat/dog Pickles!

    Holly might be leaving already, not sure. So, I'll answer for her....the dogs are in Spain where her daughter lives and she has a second home.

    They are her "grand" dogs. Her daughter's dogs.
