    @Nancy Hart , You didn't give me any bad advice. I know my limitations and I'm a hardheaded cuss, and generally do what I consider best for me in my set of circumstances. Let me say here, I appreciate your friendship on these forums and some comment or advice will not alter that friendship and I rest easy both using your advice and knowing your intent is always to be helpful.

    I didn't weigh Labor Day, after all it was a holiday. I was going to weigh this morning and forgot to do so
    until I was up and dressed and sipping a cup of coffee. Ofcourse knowing I might be a pound or two
    heavier than I was the last I weighed didn't make it any easier to remember. I had some pizza over the
    weekend, two much pizza over the weekend, but what else can you do when you give the cook the weekend off.

    I too had pizza. It seems to jump in the cart at the grocery store. :confused: Pretty much zig-zagging between one day low calories, the next day maintenance, depending on whether I want to fix something healthy or not. :p Holding steady at 126.4 for the last 4 days.

    Pizza is actually wonderful food, so long as the carbs in the crust don't bother you. Years ago, when my wife's Mother was visiting us in MO, we ate at the pizza buffet often. her Mother ate ONLY the topping! This is what my wife has done for the last couple of pizzas, though they have been few & far between.

    My record feed at that pizza buffet was 13 slices! That's enough calories for at least a week! Shame on me.......
    Our favorite was chicken with hot sauce, then Hawaiian with Canadian Bacon and Pineapple! If eaten with meat of some kind or chicken, the cheese adds protein also, tomato sauce is healthful. I've never heard of fish pizza though..... Frank

    Thirteen ?!

    Frank, my girlfriend's mother made pizza with sardines for us once when we were kids. An experiment. I'll never forget it. :rolleyes: :p

    My worst run in with pizza was long ago. I was a judge at the science fair for public school students, and the reward was free pizza at the end. They brought in about 5 different kinds, and way too many for the number of judges.

    I had to try one slice of each kind to decide which was the best, then have another 1, or 2, of that one. That incident pretty much cured me of ever stuffing myself again. Ugh! Awful feeling.

    Why? Weak will power, medications that
    make me hungry, food choices available,
    maybe desire is not that strong.

    Well, I’m finally better healthwise....scan of kidneys was normal and my potassium and sodium are all in normal range.

    My GFR is way up also. It was that number dropping that started my whole summer of hell.


    Now all I have to do is gain back the 16 lbs I lost.

    I would never have thought that gaining weight is just as hard as losing it when it’s what you have to do.

    I’ve never had to gain weight before in my whole life....and although my appetite is back..I’ve only gained one lousy pound in a couple weeks.

    So could I before...but when you have to gain weight...it becomes difficult....I don’t know why.

    Hit 125.0 this morning. That was the goal, but the number is meaningless. I think the hurricane's only contribution to Georgia was one day of extreme humidity. Even the wind felt damp yesterday. A real steam bath outside. Need 3 days in a row.
