My weekend fare consisted of lots of what I consider non food items. That would be veggies low in calories and taste. Hold the shredded cheese, the sauces or gravies that would make them more edible. Thank God for hot sauce.:(

I had solid food last night for the first time in several days. Barbecue chicken, roasted potato and green beans, yum. Breakfast today is a banana and tea. That's a good point, @Ike Willis hot sauce is usually good for most people, and can add some flavor. Do you mean salsa, or something else? I've seen a lot of recipes recently for different sorts of salsas, some incorporating fruit. I haven't tried them, but they sound interesting, and I'm sure they taste good, too.

I usually use Louisiana hot sauce. I read the labels on different brands and found many have about the same ingredients. Vinegar, cayenne pepper and salt. I use a lot of it. I'm surprised I ain't smoking.:)

I had a hamburger and salad. It is hard to beat a good homemade hamburger. I added worchestshire, sauce, garlic, a bit of cheese..and topped it with lettuce, onion and tomato.I had a few beans as well. Of course I had to have some ketchup. The only thing I forgot was a pickle. Cereal for breakfast...can't remember what I had for lunch..hmmm. I guess it wasn't too memorable. I don't think it was much. My roomie is a big proponent of hot sauce.

Vegetables and fruits are still my buddies through the year 2016! But, I guess most folks in America are getting excited for the coming 4th of July feasts! :p

I wish I could still eat hot sauce. It's been a few decades for that. I'm glad you can, and that you enjoy it. Even with salsa, the hottest I can have is medium. At least I can still eat bell peppers, though, and I can occasionally have something a little stronger.

Last night was a toasted sandwich of pickle and pimiento loaf and cheese, it was yummy.

I was planning on Beef Stroganoff for tonight... have the beef thawed and everything, but it turned into such a hot day that I'm going to keep that for tomorrow and do Subway tonight.... let someone else do the cooking. That's rare around here! :) It'll be a 6" (which actually measures to 5" lately) steak & cheese with light mayo and tomato.

I will have spaghetti tonight. I have the meat already prepared for the sauce. I am trying to get rid of my jarred pasta sauce because I want to make my own the next time I make spaghetti or something of that ilk. I am hoping it will save some money and be better for me anyway. I do make my own sauce when I make goulash. Lately, I have eschewed Subway, even though there is one close to here...because you can get a much better deal at Sheetz. A basic sub is only two bucks and you can get it on a fresh pretzel roll. When I was at the lake on Sunday, people were discussing the fact that Subway rolls have been found to contain plastic! I am sure it is a miniscule amount..but still???

Last night, I made a tuna casserole for supper..
It was delicious and there is leftovers which I don't generally like..
What I like about those casseroles, is that it is a one dish meal.. Loads of veggies..

Today it is raining all day and it is on the cooler side, so a casserole would be perfect..

Also it is our wedding anniversary, so something special would go over pretty well..
I have a casserole that uses minced turkey with a ton of veggies and every time I make it, my dear Princess loves it...

It is HOT up here and I don't want to use the stove, so I put on the BBQ some frozen pre-marinated chicken breasts..
Went to our vegetable garden and picked some baby spinach, radishes and I scraped a carrot and some sliced mushrooms and we had a wonderful fresh salad.. I made my own dressing.....
