Doctors aren't trained in common sense @Ina I. Wonder....they are trained to recognize and treat illness and disease with prescriptions, but not with nutrition, exercise, and natural remedies. I do believe most of our illness and disease do come about because of poor nutrition, lack of exercise, environmental poisons, stress, etc. If you go to your Doctor they will write a prescription for your aches and pains because most of them know nothing about natural remedies for illness and disease. In fact in many cases if something isn't FDA approved, they will recommend you don't try that most of the time because it might harm you, but the pill they prescribe for you will most of the time be more dangerous to your health and well being than nature's "pill".
There is actually a whole lot more wonderful information about this doctor, and the amazing things that just drinking more water can do to heal the body, @Ina I. Wonder . Browse through some of the other articles on the website, and be sure to read this page, which is the incredible story of how this doctor was put in prison, and had to try and treat the prisoners......... with no other medication than water at his disposal most of the time ! He also has written a book about curing illness with water and the importance of hydration. http://www.watercure.com/about_dr_b.html
I don't understand why it's a dr's job to tell you to drink enough water...that's common sense, wether you're thirsty or not. Just because I'm not thirsty, I never think that I can go without drinking. Even my little grandsons know that.
Well today was my monthly doctor's appointment, and he took me off of the anti-inflamitory drug, Meloxicam. It was irritating my intestines, and making me sick. But he put me on Gabapentin for my seizures. My blood work last month indicated that I might be having seizures again, and he and his nurse kept chatting with me, which I found strange. Then the doctor said that he and his nurse had noted that I had two real mild seizures while we were talking. I didn't notice them because the seizures were only for a few seconds each time. He thinks that stress is the culprit at this point. Which did make sense, because someone tried to steal my car around 6:am this morning. When I bought the car it had all kinds of bells and whistles, one of them being an app that if someone tried to steal my car it went into full lockdown and the horn started blaring. Of course this upset me, and I think the doctor is right about the stress causing my seizures right now. I've gone through many tests, but other than the blow to my forehead at age 7, (which put me in the hospital for 9 months with a large blood clott on my frontal lobe.), they've never found a cause for the seizures. I'm so greatful that my grandson, Bobert, has decided that he will live with me. Not many 26 year old men would take the time out of their social life to help for an indeterminate time.
