IAnd south Florida n the 70s there was a topless beach in Miami I didn't go topless but some did. At same time it was a family type place in many places. It too was nice with beautiful beaches. I would have loved to go to The Great Barrier reef when I was younger.
@Craig Wilson Yes we visited the Whitsundays on our road trips from Canberra to Alice Springs and then Cairns to Sydney. So many other beautiful places, Uluru, Kuranda, Daintree Fraser Island, Byron Bay and of course Sydney itself
Some like warm sandy beaches, sunscreen, the ocean and warm breezes Some like myself yearn for soft rain, fog, low clouds and knowing you'll never more roam What is exotic to one will be a never happen to others. Life is that way. Take it as it happens. The open blue skies, warm water and swimsuits Or that closed in feeling, grey skies, distant lightning, and knowing there's no place like home. Quite exotic.
First of all Bibbi a belated welcome to our friendly forum. So glad to hear you enjoyed visiting my beautiful, ancient and diverse continent. America was always on my bucket list but financial constraints may scupper that. Who knows we may win the Lottery. Then I will take a road trip around the US plus cruise the Argean sea to visit some of the lesser known Greek islands. @Bibbi Wright
@Craig Wilson Thanks for the welcome. Yes we have some wonderful memories of that trip. We’ve also done some road trips in the USA but doubt if we will be returning there in the foreseeable future.
