Lately, I've been drinking more iced tea than coffee. When it gets above thirty, it feels like summer, you know.

I don't drink tea at all, neither iced or hot!

Besides coffee, I only drink water, even when at a restaurant.

That sounds like some strong coffee!! I noticed when I lived in Hungary that expresso is more popular there than here.

Yes, espresso are more popular in most foreign countries. Good old-fashion brewed black coffee is more to our taste here in US

I haven't posted on here yet (I don't think) however it just happens that this past week when I went to do my weekly food shopping, in one of the shops there was coffee on special. It was a coffee made by "HILLS" which is basically the coffee we use anyway.. It was the dark roast variety which is flavourful ..
My wife drinks only decaf (for her medical reasons) and I take my coffee caffeine ..
The tins were 980g which is just over 2 pounds each..
OK.............. They were on special for only $3.49 each tin regardless if it is decaf or not.... C'mon that's very cheap.. It was an unadvertised special in store..
There was a limit of 4 tins each at that price.. I bought 4 tins and my wife bought 4 tins..
I went back and bought 4 more tins and my wife did the same so now we have 8 tins of each coffee..
Now, that should last us for quite a while..

I was wondering if I should store the tins in the freezer or just on the floor of the food pantry..
The open tin that we are using it is in the fridge sealed with an air tight cover..

Coffee hasn't been tasting good to us lately and we've been drinking less. So I just ordered a Keurig K55 from amazon along with a sampler packet of different flavors. Any one here have one?

We have had our Keurig for almost 2 years and still going strong.

Check out Angelino's K-cups. It's all we use now.

They have a good selection and price is good.
We have the 192 cup plan, so comes out to about 39 cents a cup.
I can live with that, and every cup is perfect. .

We have a TASSIMO coffee machine that we rarely use..
The cost of every cup of coffee is around the 75 cents for a regular cup..
The variety of coffees for our machine is very limited as compared to other machines..
We would most likely be drinking decaf for my wife and dark flavourful coffee for me..
I can make a pot for each of us and the cost is very cheap and we like large mugs of coffee, not small cups..

So, I don't use my machine very often.. It just sits there with some pods ready to go but that's all..

PS.. I never bought the machine.. We won it some years ago at a Xmas draw..

My daughter and her husband in Texas have a Kerurig and the first time I made one of the pods of coffee I found it much to strong for me...even when I would press the largest mug icon. They bought several kinds and flavors of coffee but I never could find one that made the perfect cup of coffee for me. So I bought a small 4 cup coffee maker and filters and make my own "perfect" cup of coffee when I go there. I think the Kerurig makes tea too, I might like that better and will think about trying the tea pods when I go there in April. I'm really not doing to much coffee anymore because of my health problems now too.

Okay, I have ordered and received some Community Coffee with Chicory, in K-cups. For a K-cup coffee, it's not bad. It's a bit stronger than I like, but if I dilute it with a little bit of water, it's quite good. I prefer the stuff that I make from whole beans, to which I add chicory, however.

Folgers half the caffeine,i have used for over 20 years. I to have irregular heartbeat and was told not to drink coffee at all.
In winter months drink maybe 3 full cups.Once in a while in winter make a cup during the day. In summer usually two.
One thing that helps in taste of coffee- any of them- a sprinkle of salt before brewing. Now I do not think this will mess with your blood pressure
but you may want to talk to doctor first. I use two to three quick shakes of salt shaker, not even a 1/8th of a teaspoon.
