I do smile at myself quite a bit these days, especially at at all the crazy things I seem to do and the number of things I mislay. Miro the baby here makes me smile a lot as well because he is so smiley and lovable. Some of the satirical news shows on TV also make me smile a lot, depending on my mood.
Terry, was baby Miro named after the Spanish painter, John Miro? Miro makes me smile. He's so whimsical. "Femmes VI"
No Lara it's short for Miroslav, which was his fathers choice and he is a Canadian ....so no one can work out why he chose it, there is no Slavic blood in the family. Miroslav is a Slavic masculine name meaning "peace and glory" (peace glorifier). I wasn't familiar with the painter, thanks for the introduction.
Love the flower @Lara Moss and haha @Chrissy Page, I was talking about that a bit ago elsewhere. I have two tickets for tonight's drawing. Hope springs eternal. I just heard something that always puts a smile on my face, a fog horn. I like train whistles, too, even if they're late at night or early in the morning. I find both comforting.
I also have two tickets, Diane! That's okay, the pot is big enough to share! I read somewhere that the most powerball winners have been in the state of Pennsylvania.
I bought a lottery ticket at the last minute…and lost. I had big dreams in the 2 hour wait haha. Now I'm back to the little things in life. This loss was probably the best thing that ever happened to me.
I am smiling this morning simply for the joy of waking up to another Sunday, with nothing planned and a whole day waiting to unfold. Sorry you hopefuls didn't win the lottery, ( unless you are not telling ) but as you say Lara it was probably the best thing that happened, not many us can handle a lot of money very well, I don't think it gives many smiles after any initial excitement it may give.
Yes I love Spain too Chrissy..I've had a home there for many years now..and I lived there for a long time too..daughter's home is about 6 hours drive from me in Spain.. Sadly no because of the work commitment, and travel, I can't have dogs of my own now..although I have had in the past....I would love to have a dog if I retired..but also my husband is adamant no more dogs in the house. I even offered to short term foster them...but it was still a resounding no from him!!
Yes, it's hard to travel with a dog, thankfully my daughter watches mine when I go somewhere but that can be a problem sometimes too. I have to make sure shes going to be home plus every trip I take on an airplane I first have to drive the 3 hrs to my daughter's house to drop off the dog and then fly out of an airport near her instead of my airport in Fresno which is only 20 mins away.
…but it's all worth it because then, when you come home, they're happier to see you more than anyone or anything else in the whole world…now there's a smile for ya'
Yes, he's happy but he loves being at my daughter's. He gets to sneak up and sleep with the 16 yr old and they eat steak and good food not veggies like I do at home. He goes around the kitchen table and everyone gives him a little something.
