This clip discusses it, and starts with "Is there a more reviled moment in Columbo history?" For me, the answer is "No." It was weird.

That was an interesting and funny video. It's going against the grain but I'm now feeling less hostile towards the tuba episode.

I usually avoid fantasy movies but I found Eragon entertaining. It's about dragons. The closing song is beautiful.

    "Keep Holding On"

    You're not alone
    Together we stand
I'll be by your side, you know I'll take your hand
    When it gets cold
And it feels like the end
    There's no place to go
You know I won't give in
    No I won't give in

    Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
    Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
    There's nothing you could say
    Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
    So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through

    So far away
    I wish you were here
Before it's too late, this could all disappear
    Before the doors close
And it comes to an end
With you by my side I will fight and defend
    I'll fight and defend
    Yeah, yeah

    Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
    Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
    There's nothing you could say
    Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
    So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through

Hear me when I say, when I say I believe
Nothing's gonna change, nothing's gonna change destiny
Whatever's meant to be will work out perfectly
    Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

    Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
    Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
    There's nothing you could say
    Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
    So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through

    Keep holding on
    Keep holding on

    There's nothing you could say
    Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
    So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through

I just watched The Librarian: Quest For The Spear. It's rated as action, sci-fi, but it's pure comedy. The action and plot were highly implausible but the dialogue was clever and funny. You need some broad knowledge to understand many of the jokes. It's as if they want to do 'inside' jokes that few understand. Hilarious stuff, taken all together. It's free to watch.

NOW I recall that episode. The guy was CIA or something like that, and I think he defected after being sent to spy on aliens. After his mutation, he just giggled. Was that McCallum? That was one of my favorites.

I just looked it up: The Chameleon. That wasn't McCallum...that was Robert Duvall!!! (I would have never guessed.)

I did not realize that The Outer Limits only ran 1 1/2 seasons because for Season 2 they aired it opposite The Honeymooners, and that killed the ratings. Bastards. So much better than Twilight Zone. And the newer ones stink.

While watching Hitchcock's Psycho I noted two interesting things. Pat Hitchcock, Alfred's daughter, had a substantial and well-done role.
Towards the end of the movie an actor playing the policeman who gives 'Mother' a blanket is none other than Ted Knight. His onscreen time is a few seconds and he doesn't appear in the credits. I tried to get a screen shot of the scene but couldn't. it's evidently not possible to do that with a playing or paused video. Ted Knight's real name was a mouthful - Tadeusz Wladyslaw Konopka.

Currently I'm watching 'Soldier' - the episode of Outer Limits where a soldier from the future is thrown back to our time. For 1964 TV the special effects are pretty good. The episode was written by the late, great Harlan Ellison.

I never noticed Ted Knight in that movie.

"Soldier" was another great Outer Limits episode. The guy who played the lead role (Michael Ansara) often played the role of an Indian in westerns, but he was born in Syria.

I just watched Green Lantern on tubitv.com. It was well done. I admit to being slightly teary-eyed towards the end. I always thought the plotline of the origin of the Green Lanterns was original and imaginative.
