While having dinner, enjoyed Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010) with Nicholas Cage https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sorcerer's_Apprentice_(2010_film)
Another film I'd watched a while back was about the local branch of England's Women's Institute. You probably know the title as CALENDAR GIRLS https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calendar_Girls Today, I'm very proud to announce that after a few online searches, I've found my local branch of SWI and I got my reply via email today... Yippee We've been invited to the next meeting next week. Just thought I'd drop this here. Afterall, it was as a result of watching a great film on womens who had guts by the bucketful!
Just the now relaxing in bed with cat on the head keeping me warm, LOL, we're watching an oldie but a goodie brought on by UFO talks. Hehehe... Space Camp https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/SpaceCamp We'll probably follow that with Intruders (miniseries) 1992...
Yesterday I watched a movie from 2018 " The Catcher Was A Spy" starring Paul Rudd it is based on a true story and I found it a very interesting Thriller. It takes place in the late 30s early forties. Moe Berg is a major league baseball player for the Boston Red Sox, he retires and works as a spy for the office of Strategic Services during WW II. He goes undercover to Europe to assassinate a German scientist who is developing the Atomic Bomb. I don't want to spoil the ending so I'll leave it at that. In my opinion Paul Rudd did a memorable job as Moe's Berg.
Sounds interesting, we may watch that one . My favorite fact-based war movie was, Tora,Tora,Tora.,forgot who starred in it..
Here's Wikipedia link for Tora, Tora, Tora https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tora!_Tora!_Tora! It's one of many WWII films I've enjoyed with my Father, then with my husband (who proceeded to explain every ships in all the fleets) LOL
You're very welcome @Marie Mallery. Good afternoon as it's nearly 16:30 eheh. Speaking of films and nostalgia thrown together for good measures. Currently watching a CBS special about The Beatles with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr on YouTube. Many of yous might enjoy this?
I'll give it a look ,right now I'm just hanging out here anticipating housework, past due morning walk, vacuuming, mopping floors that I put off yesterday.
We rented Calendar Girls today, watched half of it in=between chores. Cost $5.99 on YouTube, not much.
I watched a good, old movie lastnight with Humphrey Bogard and Lizbeth Scott. I started out looking at Tom Cruise "Dead Reckoning" but decided I wanted something else, and there was an old one I'd never seen, Dead Reckoning with Bogart. I liked what the "about" blurb on my Prime, and sounded good. It really was good, for me https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0039305/
