Nice, Mary, the new filters and bacteria light; takes the scary out, for us; I think it's well "worth the investment", when it comes to our health.
Remember not just the same size, but the same type as well. It looks from your picture that the first two are identical, but the third is different. Remove, the first and discard, move the second to the first position and put a new filter into the second position. One system I had (now understand our water had to be perfect), I had a large "string" filter the size of a large air tank about 5 feet tall followed by a system similar to @Jake Smith's followed by an RO system and finished with UV light. Some of the maintenance was done by us and some professionally done, like changing the large tank (annually, I think).
Thanks, Don, I will do it that way then. Five ft. filter is huge one. Mine is also finished with UV light. Wish I had found out about this before throwing out the first filters, since they cost so much. But next change I will try what you said. Also you are right about the first and second being the same; I "believe", will check them a little closer to be sure.
@Don Alaska; The next photo tells what each filter does; according to what they say that they remove; is different for each one, so do you think it would make a difference in what it's removing, changing only one?

Without a water test, no one can really judge any specific system. All I had was a high level of hardness and the mica flakes that are visible...no heavy metals or iron or anything else. So a system like that would be a huge waste of money for me. And while there are systems that can remediate the ill effects of hard water on plumbing, I needed the minerals removed because of my kidney stones.
"Copy" that; but my question is, changing only "one filter", when each does something different, may change the outcome? I don't feel it was a huge waste of "my money", with all the stuff that was coming through, staining sinks, tub, and everything. Figure why not block all contaminants; and drink "cleaner water".
Make sure thee filters are the same @Jake Smith. I initially thought they were, but your new picture makes me doubt that. Just check to make sure they are interchangeable.
Says they are somewhat different, by what it says they "take out". Just the same size. Not so "sure", would have to do more research to be sure.
