No computer? Wife and I would reply the same way.........absolutely, NO WAY!! I use our computer everyday, unless we are on vacation. Then again, on a couple of business trips, for my wife's job, in 2008, I went with her and took our laptop. That way I could watch a few dvd movies of ours while she was at work. I do quite a number of things on our computer/online, including having spreadsheets of vehicle and boat maintenance/repair, health data for each of us and other things that are saved on usb's. Wife uses a computer everyday at work and checks our banking account online a couple of times a week. So, with this being said, we'd have to say.........we LOVE our computer!
In addition to surfing the internet and participating on several forums, I pay bills online, check bank accounts and credit cards, shop, look things up, etc. I email friends & relatives. I rarely use Facebook. Of course we survived before home computers, but they sure make life easier.
I would hate being without a computer! I'm sure I could adapt to life without it but it would be while kicking and screaming. Just the thought of writing checks and mailing them out at bill paying time makes my blood run cold.
...also to think how much more distant our relatives would be from us..without skype, emails etc, and we were left again with only expensive phone calls and snail mail... Oh, and what about us?...all of us who are friends online?...we wouldn't know each other at all, or if we suddenly lost the computer , we'd lose an awful lot of people we've come to regard as good friends
