Cheerios and blueberries are my snack at night and if not that, like if I'm out of one or the other then it's Cinnamon spiced Drizzle(raw honey)on toast.Same as cinnamon toast only lovelier.
1 toast with honey, 1 bacon, 2 scrambled eggs, and about 1/2 cup hash browns... i am happily very full no lunch today
Today was homemade waffles at 0800 then off to PT, tomorrow will be sausage, egg, cheese sandwich on A grand biscuit. I love bacon but a sausage patty works better here. I think that I could over do it if I had all the good bacon I could and another cooked it limber not crispy.
Breakfast came end went but it's weather related comfort food for supper. It's Campbell's tomato soup with Ritz crackers. Nothing better on a cold and windy winter's day. At least it's sunny.
Breakfast was a weird schedule on its own... Schooldays, it was cereals, oatmeal or toast and preserves, orange juice and coffee (the latter from 12). Unfortunately, due to two family members being lactose intolerant, I ended up being unable to have milk on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. Thanks to tests and nutritionist, that sad situation got fixed. Mind you I don't take cereals in morning but as an occasional nighttime snack before bed . Working years, I woke up, got dressed, grabbed OJ, coffee and out the door. At work, had the bestest breakfast sandwiches (we called them portable fryups). Then had the standard lunches. However, due to my Father's passing, mother rarely made dinner. Weekends are where we have big breakfast no lunch and a great dinner. Sunday's, we normally have brunches. As today we had to go out, we've moved our buckwheat pancake brunch until Monday. Since son and husband's passing, weekdays are orange juice and coffee, regular lunches and dinners.
Today was fun! My oldest friends in this area wanted to go out to brunch today in Appleton. They moved up there a few years ago. We used to have brunch every week for years but they moved up to Appleton and it became inconvenient to keep it up. We are thinking of getting together either every other week in our home town, or meeting halfway between. Goodness did we get old! But the food was good and it was fun to talk about old times. I milked cows for them for years. I had a Denver omlet.
