I like cheese and crackers. Sometimes with coffee, sometimes with a glass of wine.

Check out the dehydrator thread I've rambled in. Lots of goodies in there as well. I didn't post the candied/chocolate/cocoa almonds I dehydrated in it...those are in the Snack area.

I really need to start exercising again...

Do you make your own jerky in the dehydrator? Wait a minute, wheres the snack area. I can virtually eat all I want in there by browsing.

I've not done jerky yet, although I might try it. I primarily bought it to dehydrate almonds and pasta, but I rapidly got into fruit leathers and dehydrated fruits.

    Here's the snack thread. https://www.seniorsonly.club/threads/snacks.15785/

There are no calories in just browsing...

I like chocolate covered peanuts and/or almonds. These days I've been buying plain almonds for a light protein snack. I've been browsing the dehydrated page all of this time. Now to go browse the snacks!

Chocolate covered almonds are actually a heart-healthy snack, as long as it is dark chocolate. Lots of articles out there about this.

I started eating them a long time ago, then could not find the ones I liked so started to make my own. I recently found a recipe that coated them in a cinnamon-sugar syrup before coating them with chocolate (probably not really healthy), and then coating them with dutch cocoa powder (a healthy addition.)

You should research the benefits of soaking then dehydrating nuts & seeds before eating them. I recently discovered this. Makes them more digestible.

Vodka cream sauce? sounds interesting. Should we just call you the Pasta man or Mr. Pasta? ha ha. I'm kidding. Still eating my fudgesicles I see.

My dinner tonight was Lazy, frozen pepperoni pizza!

I quit drinking a long time ago, but have one of the better-stocked bars around because of my cooking (yeh, I'm violating The Rules by having alcohol around.) I have a great recipe for a quick Vermouth sauce for sauteed fish.

This Vodka Cream Sauce is the only dish I've made where you put a match to the alcohol and let it burn off. I was shocked at how long it took for the alcohol in 1/4 cup of vodka to burn off.

Don't call me Pasta Man...call me The Incredible Shrinking Pants guy!!!

Regarding your frozen pizza: I've been known to keep a box of those square Ellio's slices in the freezer, adding whatever toppings I felt like in the moment. And Walmart carries a decent line of refrigerated ready-to-bake pizzas. It all eats. And it's cheaper than dining out.

I just had a pretty lazy day today. I have those sometimes. Alcohol can perk up some cooking dishes. I've tried it a few times. I've never lit a match to alcohol though. Was it your first time? How did it turn out/taste? Ok listen THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING PANTS GUY sounds great for you but that's just way toooooooooooo long!:p @John Brunner
