Growing up in north Idaho, we were never close enough to get the fresh seafood like you had growing up, @John Brunner ; but back then, fresh crab was pretty cheap, and when the local store had fresh crab, my mom would buy it, and we enjoyed taking it apart and eating all the tasty little pieces. Even after i was grown up and had kids myself, crabs were affordable enough that we all had them occasionally, and so my kids learned to love cracking crabs apart, too. If we had had fresh ones we caught ourselves, I am sure that they would have been even better !
I made fajitas for Bobby and fajita salad for me, and leftovers for the puppy dogs. We are all full and happy.
I had a late lunch with friends at an Italian restaurant; shrimp scampi, salad, breadsticks. Brought home a tiramisu for later and take-out for the hubby.
The better half wanted Chinese, so he's on his way to pick up takeout. I'm having egg fu yung again, fried rice and eggroll.
