Picked up a huge smoked chicken leg, baked beans and collards from my portable BBQ guy (Rod.) He just hit the 5th anniversary for his business.
-Salad -Stouffers stuffed green peppers -Garlic bread -Maybe I'll throw some mac & cheese on the side.
I'm exhausted today and the restaurant we'd planned to stop at on our way home was a madhouse, so we kept driving. Dug around in the freezer and made a Lean Cuisine spinach pizza for me and some hot wings/fries for the better half. Sometimes "heat and eat" will work. I have a grocery store angel food cake and some fresh strawberries that I will likely plunder later.
Went to a Mexican restaurant I've not been to in about a year. They make a chicken breast topped with chorizo (Mexican sausage) and cheese, then broiled. Served with grilled veggies. It's pretty good.
Since I bought some beautiful crisp red leaf lettuce at that farmers market yesterday, we'll have grilled cheeseburgers and a delicious fresh salad. FYI @Beth Gallagher, we had homemade chicken noodle soup yesterday too!
We need to start consulting each other on upcoming menus!! We had Chipotle today; it was my day off and the kitchen is closed.
Just picked some fresh nettle to go with hamburgers I'll be cooking. Maybe should go under a garden thread but my weeds had bugs eating them. Too much nitrogen in the soil, maybe.
