Well, your speed is not fabulous but apparently it does what you need it to do. A "ping" is just the measurement of the speed of a round-trip message to/from your computer. The download speed is how fast data is incoming to your PC; the upload speed is how fast data is traveling from your PC. Upload goes up to the network; download comes down to your machine.
PING ms 10 DOWNLOAD Mbps 30.38 UPLOAD Mbps 2.31 @Shirley Martin I don't know what it means either. As long as it's working and I don't have to wait.......it's all good.
Could someone tell me where i find my speed info, have Macs, my internet plan says, 25 Fibe Lightning..Bell MTS. .
Micki--Click on this link... CLICK ME! Then click "GO" and wait a couple of minutes for the test to run.
You're welcome, Shirley. Not exactly a technical explanation but hopefully it makes the terms a little clearer.
Megabits per second, blah blah blah! The SLOWEST internet speed should be fast enough for everybody! Hal
Thanks for link @Beth Gallagher I just downloaded the app because I use Apple iPad However I’m not that tech minded either that’s hubs department if I want to know any of that tech stuff Mine said 46.2 Mbps Upload 18.4 Ping 3 mins
Thanks for the help @Beth Gallagher ...mine are Ping ms is 9 download mbps is 26.63 upload mbps is 2.27, Are these good.
Those are fine, Micki. As long as your internet is doing what you need it to do, the speed is not a big deal. Plus there are many variables (age of equipment, devices sharing the connection, etc.) that affect the speed test result. You will find that if you run the test several times, each time will be a different result. This stuff is just interesting to know but not critical unless you're having a problem.
