Nope, I'm basing "my thoughts" on the fact that the woman I found out was my biological grandmother was a full-blooded Swede from a long line of full-blooded Swedes. The ancestry test only backed up the fact that there's more Swede in me than the mixture of Scottish, Irish, English, German, Eastern European, American Indian and Black that makes up the rest of me. Apparently, the Swedish Viking blood in me runs strong. I'm a mutt, but I'm a mighty mutt......

    I. just noticed.
The house even has a real “draw it up by the bucket” well.
And….the hearth on that fireplace has got to be at least 3.5-4’ wide!

Mama, pack your stuff and I’ll hitch up the mule!

I was gonna mention that impromptu firewood rack. I have an 8' rack and a 4' rack on my front porch.

I also noticed the ramp rather than steps.

Do you know where it is?

Looks like some of the cabins I saw in western North Carolina and east Tennessee. Stone pillars to keep the wood off the ground and I think the ramp is just easier than building steps.
