I was stationed at Mac Dill Air Force Base Tampa Florida after just returning from Kimpo Air Force Base Korea. I had been transferred from 5th Air Force Command to SAC . They were filming the movie Strategic Air Command movie with Jimmy Stewart at that time.

I was army infantry, nothing special, just a grunt. I manned the trenches and ran patrols. For the most part Korea was an adventure. I had good times and bad. Had two good R&Rs to Japan. Served two terms in Korea. Glad I went. Wouldn’t want to do it again
