Interesting if my count is correct about 11 members have said absolutely no for shopping Black Friday. I tried online from the Walmart Black Friday catalog , and put a few things in the cart and as I was surfing looking for additional purchases they were removed from the cart because they were sold out. That will be my only attempt to shop Black Friday sales. They use "lost leaders" with Limited stock to get you to shop there store.
I gotta think that most of us don't have anyone to buy gifts for, except maybe a spouse. My siblings and I stopped doing that a long time ago...it was more of a burden/obligation than an expression of anything meaningful. When my nieces and nephews grew up, I stopped giving presents to them (between the ages of 12 and 21 I gifted cash & cards.) I bet a lot of parents and their adult children have done the same thing, except for maybe some token item. If I had young kids and needed lot o' stuff under the tree, I'd probably be out there swinging elbows with the rest of them. Regarding doing B.F. online...I didn't even think to look for something I might need for myself. Is there still time?
Yes there's still time Walmart is still sending me messages of Black Friday sales, but you have to be careful not all the items they show are a true Black Friday sale, only the ones mark Black Friday Sale I shop for my young grandkids, so if I can catch a bargain so much the better.
I did follow that link for the nutritional drinks for my wife. I received one box of 12 shakes in the mail 2 days ago my wife loves it so thank you
I forgot about grandkids. I gotta remember to shop on Cyber Monday. I want to buy a camera like John Woods uses, but am too cheap to pay full price.
Uh, the senior moment you're having belongs to me, but I'm glad to share. I meant SOC Member John West.
I had heard the name ‘John Wood” in relation to photography and after checking, yup, he was the first U.S. Government photographer. John Woods, on the other hand, (note the S) is also a photographer so you could have conceivably wanted a camera like John Wood(s) and gotten away with the error.
I got a Walmart Black Friday sale email this morning so clicked on it. It seems that everything in "on sale." I was not taken to a definitive list of products, just a dizzying array of of pics that link to every product category they have. Of course it's nice to be able to filter their offering if you're shopping for something or someone specific; otherwise, not even having a page of sale items to browse is of minimal value.
