It was 48 degrees here last night; kind of weird. It got up to about 70 today and was absolutely gorgeous; I got to putter around in the back yard.

It hit 60 F. here on Sunday for the first time probably since September or October, so wife and I sat on the deck (the covered part as the open part still has a lot of snow and ice) and had a drink. There are flood warnings down south and the wildfire season is fast approaching. We went out and started grafting apple trees before anything breaks dormancy.

It has been cool and rainy here the past few days, which is typical for this time of the year, although maybe a little cooler.

It has been cold here, too, down to freezing last night, and close the night before. It showed a possibility of rain, but we didn’t get more than a few sprinkles, and both Bobby and I agreed that if it did, we might get snow instead. It has been an unusually cold spring for Alabama this year.

We've had our cold spell and, as of today, beginning to warm up (thank God). Going up some 17 degrees today to 52, then, this weekend, we will be in the lower 70's. However, still have a couple of weeks in May that we could still get snow.

Oh well, comes with living here, as we found out before.

We have possible frost and freezing temps here tonight. That is very unusual for us.

It hit 65 F. yesterday, the warmest it has been here probably since last August. It was 37 F. this morning, so it is still chilly at night and we are still getting below freezing temps at our location, but it appears winter is over here. Trees are beginning to "greenbud" but no real leaves are showing yet. It won't be long, though.

Spring has been unusually mild-to-chilly here in the middle of Virginia this year.

We ;have been cooler this spring thn in previous years. And the strong storms we normally have
late April and through May have not come about so far. Fewer tornados in this part of the world.

A beautiful day yesterday--65 F.--but it was down to 30 F. this morning, so summer ain't quite here yet:). Leaves are starting to show green though.

Been on the cool side here with temps around 10 degrees below normal, but today will go up to 73 and this coming weekend it will be in the high 70's. Normal for May is 71 and June 83. This weekend, local lakes will be full of boats. Got to wait for ours to get done (summerized) at marine service.

Do believe our snow and cold weather is all done. Thank God!!
