I'm painting a bedroom today, it's a small one. I have been procrastinating and now that the weather has changed and I'm inside more I'm tired of looking at it. Earlier my grandson and I removed the wallpaper from two of the walls. I've patched nail holes and decided on the color of paint. Most of my plants will be in this room because it gets lots of sunlight. I will also be having a sewing area and a computer in there.
What color did you decide on @Von Jones? Paint colors can make such a difference. I like to look at homes for sale, and I'm often surprised by the paint color choices. At one point, it seemed everyone was painting their dining room red, then orange seemed to be in vogue. I don't care for either, but then again, I don't often follow trends. I toy with the idea of painting one or more walls in this place, but there always seems to be something else I need to do instead.
It is between a tan and beige. I still can't get my pictures to upload. I'm going to paint the closet door and frame dark green and then there is a cabinet that is also going to be painted green and the baseboards and window frames will be white.
I like having a bold color accent and the green just kept calling me and I figured out why. I have two round area rugs that have a green background that I purchased from Walmart a long time ago on sale. I kept them stored away. I have all these ideas on decorating this room now that it's painted, well partially painted. I'm excited, can you tell?
Okay, good @Von Jones, so it's not just me having an issue uploading pictures. I was thinking perhaps it was a glitch with my new (refurbished) computer, but maybe it's with the site and/or the internet attacks. I'm going to try adding one to this post to see if I'm still having the issue today. I love green. If I owned this place, I'd repaint at least the trim, front door and balcony green, blue, or teal. They're currently an ugly rust color, one of my least favorites in the world. I'd actually prefer a bright red to the one they used. I hope you can upload pictures. If I painted inside, I might do an eggshell or pale yellow on one of the walls, and maybe lavender, pale blue, or green as an accent wall in the bedroom. Yes, I can tell you're excited, and I'm excited for you. I can't wait to see what you do, and how it comes out . Okay, I tried to upload a file here using Upload A File, and nothing happened. It was just like clicking any regular blank space on the page @Ken Anderson @Admin. Sorry if you're already working on this issue. I thought perhaps the issue had resolved itself, but it hasn't.
There is nothing to be done on my end. The forum isn't showing any errors or problems to be fixed, and it's not something I can duplicate on this end. You can either use the "Upload a File" button or you can drag and drop the photo in the Reply field. If you are dragging and dropping, first click into the Reply box.
Okay, thanks. It's not acting the same as it was before, that's why I thought there might be an issue. I'll try dragging and dropping next time I have something to attach.
I started this dreamcatcher this past week. After watching a few Youtube videos I could only get the first round of the web completed and then the next few days was pure frustration. I started over about four times before I decided the videos wasn't working for me. I took matters into my own hands and did it my way. This is just the beginning ...
I like it. Is there a certain pattern you are supposed to reproduce with the strings? Or is it up to you?
Thank you. There are all types of patterns but I couldn't grasp the technique after the first row so I created my own web design which is pretty random crisscrosses.
Perhaps a video on fishnet making might be of a small service. When I would accidentally get my cast net caught in an oyster bed, they would tear up my net when I tried to retrieve it so I learned how to patch the net. The knots are pretty easy and it might give you a base to go by for further patterns. As @Nancy Hart kinda wrote, I think the random thing is pretty cool but learning the basic “ Sheet Bend” knot will keep your own ideas from slipping.
We had a good wind Saturday, so I will be picking branches up. Got about 90 or so black walnuts. Beautiful majestic trees! Messy though, branches die and become brittle, many becoming "widow makers" I need Cody to come and teach me some roping skill, so that I can pull some down. I am piling all the wood as we have a burn ban that runs until the middle of May. I have circumvented that ban in the past though. There is an exemption for cooking and "celebratory" fires. Sit in my chair with a beer and a hot dog on a stick, jump up and say YIPPEE a couple of time and I got my bases covered.
