I am so sad for my daughter and her family right now. They were going to close on their new home over here on June 30th but a few days ago they were still waiting for the seller to fax them some important papers...and he never did. Then he told them he does not have one of the very important ones. He knew this the whole time and yet was not honest about this. So now they are not going to buy the house and we are scrambling to find them a short term rental here so they will not have to be cooped up in other family members homes. I have found some cute cottages for short term rental and a few small apartment complexes with this too. But they shouldn't have had to go through this..and that seller should have never lied.
That is too bad, Babs; but possibly it could be a blessing in disguise. If this storm brings a lot of flooding like that one last year did that ruined your other daughter's home, then it might be a good thing that they are just renting and not buying a new home. That would be even worse, to just buy a home and then be flooded out. Hopefully, you ill not get that kind of flooding, and will find a rental for them, and just the right home will come along, or this one will be ready to close for them.
Very disappointing for you and your daughter and her husband. Gladly though it was all on the seller.
Good things come to those who wait. This will be my daughter and her family's new home. It is on almost a half acre of property, in the school district they wanted for their children and has the large square footage they wanted too. The house had been inspected and they close on Sept. 1st. And the best part of all is that they are basically down the street from me! Oh I almost forgot...it has never flooded and is not in a flood zone area.
I think it's beautiful too @Frank Sanoica. This is just a tiny part of the back yard which has lots of beautiful landscaping and shade trees. Now our Family will have 3 beautiful and big enough places to have our Family Get Togethers at.
