Philosophy in general is the exploration of life itself and most of the time it explains how it can be bettered. Each and every one of us has heard an "old wives" saying or a catchy phrase that we cling onto in order that we may be reminded of how best to react in a given situation. A couple of mine are somewhat comical but do have some validity if we look closely. 1. The grass is greener on the other side of the fence but it is also harder to mow. My take: Greater progress takes greater work so be happy with what you have or work harder. 2. It is the early bird that catches the worm but it's the early worm that gets caught. My take: The greatest excuse for rolling over in bed for a few more minutes sleep. So, what do ya think? Is there some bit of philosophical whit or wisdom that should be imparted and possibly explored more closely?
