I didn't watch any of it, so I can't comment. My husband was in the kitchen looking for snacks so I have to assume he wasn't riveted by the performers.
I think that the super bowl has probably lost a lot of people over the last few years, who used to watch it. It didn’t go over well when some of the players decided not to stand for the national anthem, which the majority of Americans see to be patriotic, just like our flag. Super bowl Sunday is also supposed to be the worst day for sex-trafficking and child abuse. I didn’t watch any of the show, but I saw the pictures posted showing what was supposed to be sex-slaves and children locked in cages, and just the whole overtone of the half-time show seemed not to be something that could be called “family friendly”. The Veteran’s association wanted to sponsor an ad in support of the flag and our military veterans, but they were denied as being too political, even though there were other political ads allowed. I totally thought it was great that the player who announced he was not going to go to the White House was on the losing team, and the winning team had a player with a Trump 2020 shirt on ! !
Seems you had your Super Bowl played just before this dreaded virus hit and started killing sport. Has other American sport been affected by this virus. Our two major national sports.. Cricket (summer) and Rugby League (winter) have been cancelled. Cricket not so bad as we only lost the one series before the home season ended. But League (our version of your Gridiron) looks like having a decent chunk removed.. if not the entire 7 month season. Likewise with our other major sport Australian Rules Football. Often this game attracts 60,000 or more spectators.
Super bowl don't even know who nor when nor care any just telling it like it is. Zero minus interest here.
All sports in America are shut down right now. Heaven knows if we'll have baseball this year.....sob.
