My neighbor was the Boy Scout Master here for over 30 years. His bad knees made him step down. There is now a female Scout Master.
None of this was meant to free or empower anybody. It was all meant to destroy. Those who are so naive as to confuse their abusers with their saviors are a danger to us all.
Some of the old hippies are still going at it,did you see the news about the STD epedemic at The Villages here in FLorida? It was all over the place a few years ago.
Not going after all the hippies some were ok and most were funny. I liked their music too but it wasn't a good time to be married but I guess single was ok. It was just 'a sign of the times'.
They are trying to deny the rumor to save the community property values ,but there is some facts that can't be denied. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/the-villages-florida_n_5504154 Florida's "Friendliest Retirement Hometown" is in the spotlight after two people were caught allegedly getting very friendly with each other inside the community's confines. On June 2, Margaret Ann Klemm, 68, and David Bobilya, 49, were charged with indecent exposure and disorderly conduct after being allegedly caught sans pants in the "square" of The Villages in Sumter County. Following that arrest, the Daily Mail launched a much-needed investigation into life inside The Village and found, among other things: — There are "ten women to every man" and there's a black market for Viagra in the community of 100,000 residents. — "All of the women work hard to look good... Indecent exposure? I would think that exposing the public to two wrinkled up butts would be akin to mental abuse.
Bearing children is an ability, not a right. There are holes in your proclamation that women can "choose" to get pregnant. Since it takes two (artificial insemination notwithstanding), then obviously a male is required. Also there are many women who can't have children for one reason or another, and many other women who became pregnant without meaning to. I don't get the "we are expecting" thing. There are men posting on the breast cancer forum, ostensibly to support their wife who has cancer, and they say things like "WE started chemo this week" and "WE are having a mastectomy, blah, blah." That nonsense makes me mad. Until you are in the chair with the needle in your chest, you are JAFO, buddy.
I suspect they were trying to express their support for their wives, not saying they were participating in the pain and agony...but I don't know.
I think so too,but I also understand Beths feelings on the subject . Guess I'll just sit here on the fence.
